Privacy policy
Who is responsible
Clear Line Logistics, based in California, is responsible for information submitted through this site. Contact us at dispatch@shipclearline.com or (805) 561-3305.
What we collect
Freight request form
Name, company, email address, phone number, pickup and delivery locations, requested pickup date, equipment preference, commodity, weight, piece or pallet count, dimensions, special requirements, and your message.
Carrier partner form
Name, company, MC or DOT number if you provide it, email address, phone number, equipment, preferred lanes, operating area, availability, self-reported authority status, self-reported insurance status, and your message.
Automatically recorded
When a form is submitted, the server records the submission time and the originating IP address. This exists to limit automated abuse of the forms and to make a lost submission recoverable. Standard web-server access logs are kept by the hosting provider.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information.
- We do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.
- We do not run advertising or analytics tracking pixels on this site.
- We do not set marketing or advertising cookies.
- We do not send marketing email to addresses collected through these forms unless you ask us to.
Cookies
This site sets one cookie, cll_session. It is a session cookie used solely to
hold the security token that protects the forms against cross-site request forgery. It
contains no personal information, it is not used for tracking, and it expires when you
close your browser.
How your information is used
- To review your freight request or carrier enquiry and respond to it.
- To coordinate a shipment with an independent carrier, where you have asked us to.
- To keep a record of what was agreed on a move.
- To meet legal, tax and insurance record-keeping obligations.
Who your information is shared with
To coordinate a shipment, relevant details are shared with the independent carrier assigned to that move and, where necessary, with the pickup or delivery facility. Only what is needed to complete the move is shared.
Information is also processed by our email and hosting providers as part of delivering the website and receiving mail. We do not share information with anyone else except where the law requires it.
How long it is kept
Submissions that do not lead to a shipment are kept only as long as needed to respond and to answer follow-up questions. Records connected to a coordinated shipment are kept for as long as business, tax and insurance obligations require.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are protected by cross-site request forgery tokens, automated-submission checks and rate limiting. Submission records are stored outside the publicly reachable part of the web server. No online transmission can be guaranteed completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where no legal or contractual obligation requires us to keep it. California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request deletion. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.
Send any request to dispatch@shipclearline.com.
Children
This is a business-to-business freight website. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
